Julie James... you have done it again! Awesome!
I loved almost everything about this book! The main characters had an interesting history leading up to the beginning of the book. They ABSOLUTELY had chemistry... Wowza! And the mystery/suspense story line was interesting and kept the characters on their toes. I don't want you to think it's been two years since I read this. I just usually don't read the ENTIRE book. And okay, I skipped some of the bad guy parts because BLAH, he sucks, but whatever.

Is this incredibly trite and predictable? Hell yes! Did I love every page of it and practically eat it right up with a spoon? HELL YES.

I didn't love the earlier book I read by this author but found this one entertaining and funny. The heroine is a beautiful lawyer, a prosecutor for the US Attorney's office, who had a run in three years ago with an ambitious (and very sexy)FBI agent. He returns to Chicago just as she inadvertently witnesses a murder and their paths cross again. Great writing! A little cheesy at times. Third person POV hinders my ability to connect with the characters, but she did it pretty well! Legal stuff was realistic, and a little romance on the side is always nice. :)
Not a genre I dip into often, but I heard about this author on NPR's Pop Culture Happy Hour and found it a quick fun read.
