Typical Jodi Picoult - takes a controversial topic and makes a good story out of it. Realistic? Probably not ... but it kept me interested and I zipped right through it. Perfect for the beach, which is where I was when I read it.
This was the first book I ever read by Jodi Picoult. A teenage couple make a suicide pact but only the girl dies and the boy is put on trial. The kids grew up together as their parents are best friends so the book is also about the family's response. The only issue I had with the book was the fact that what the girl went through that supposedly lead to her being suicidal seemed kind of minor to me, but who am I to judge I guess.
