In which Karen thinks her elderly neighbor is a witch, because she wears black all the time.

Being a big fan of the Baby-Sitters Club series, I used to pick these books out of my sister's bookshelf and breeze through them. Only later did I really how thoroughly annoying Karen is, especially when she narrated chapters in the BSC Super Specials. Yet I wrote a Baby-Sitters Little Sister story for my little sister's birthday one year, complete with a cool checkerboard cover and block letter title.

Karen’s Witch by Ann M. Martin…I’m not sure who was more excited for this one more! I loved the Baby-Sitters Club books growing up. I didn’t read all the Little Sister books, but do remember a couple. Still though being able to introduce this series and these characters to my daughter brought all the feels.

I feel like she’s the perfect age for this series. Karen’s antics feel a little over the top as an adult but they definitely resonated with her.
