Much has been said about the book. I turned pages quickly, then misplaced the book for a while...............when the dog was there I started to get apprehensive because pets in books don't always make it to the end of the book. I was interested to see how it ended but the ending was...........so implausible for me..................that said I am reading her second book.

This one was a terribly difficult read for me, as I worked in domestic violence for many years. I did the audiobook, and literally found myself fast forwarding it as the descriptions of abuse simply made me sick to my stomach.
I will give the author props for the final CD and the ending, and I did continue to "listen", albeit at a much faster pace than normal. Still, this book just wasn't for me. ...more

I almost couldn't keep reading because the evil husband is SO evil. Totally creeped me out. But I had to finish to see if Grace and Millie were OK at the end.
