this book left a POWERFUL impression on me as an early teenager - not only was it my first introduction to the idea of threesomes/group sex, lol, but the ground-glass-hamburger murder gave me the major squicks for a long time. i didn't even remember the title of the book for a long time, but sure enough, googling "Christopher Pike book ground glass hamburger murder" yielded instant results.

I read Christopher Pike when I was 12-14. He has a great writing style that can actually capture the attention of a 12 year old. Plus he wrote so many books you could never catch up...which made them addictive. They are quick mystery reads. A little smut here and there, but nothing real graphic. haha
This was a strange one, combining ancient Greek/Roman mythology with horror.
