This was a big disappointment. The story switches back and forth in time between four different time periods: when the friends first met, when they first arrive in Aruba for vacation, the immediate aftermath after the murder, and the trial several months later. But every chapter is told in first person present tense. Argh! My most hated tense. Some books can carry it off, but this book definitely cannot.
