I would have liked a little more excitement and more dramatic "mystery" behind the Groundhog's Day Effect, but this was a pleasant and harmless book with good messages about how to be a friend.

Yeah, I just shelved this as "paranormal" AND "realistic-fiction"... If that's not an oxymoron, I don't know what is. But both fit!

I read a lot of YA, but I try to read a middle grade every few books if possible. 11 Birthdays is exactly why! Nothing freshens up my reading experience like a sweet, fun middle grade with a good (but not over-the-top) message, and this novel fit the bill perfectly! I've never read a book by Wendy Mass before, but I think I'm a fan!

A Groundhog Day-style story for the middle grades - fun to anticipate what will happen, how each change will affect each version of the day, and how it will all wrap up. The audio narration was smooth and unobtrusive. Recommended - probably 4th/5th and up.
