Ummm... This book seems to be really hit-and-miss with people -- people seem to either love it or ABSOLUTELY HATE IT. I didn't LOVE it, but I'm much more in the former camp than the latter.
Some reviewers have had issues with the dialogue, saying it's not real and that no one talks like that. Sure, the conversations are ones that probably no one would ever have (random, stream-of-consciousness, getting facts totally wrong), but it's fun to read. It's a quirk. I dug it. So readable that at first you don't realize that you're reading about the way that we and "society" try to cope with/distract our selves from the fact that we're all dying. All composite things are subject to decay. Yet we keep making them.
