Daniel remembers every one of his past lives. For hundreds of years, he's been looking for the soul he calls Sophia, who he is in love with but never seems to find at the right time. I liked this one, but I didn't love it. There, that's the qualification that comes from being a month or two removed from the book.
Brashares, as always, completely owns me with her writing style and pacing. I read this one in one sitting and loved every minute... but not much stuck with me. Without looking it up, I couldn't tell you the names of the two main characters, which is a shame.
This one is perfect for a rainy afternoon with nothing else to do. A fun, absorbing read that won't stick arou ...more

I really enjoyed this! I saw it on the bargain book table at B&N and thought the premise was interesting. I've been burned by the back of the book before, but I took a chance and I'm glad I did.
The plot started moving right away and the characters sucked you into their lives. Switching back and forth between viewpoints was a little jarring, but only because I was so absorbed in the story.
I was a little disappointed in the ending, but it leaves the door open for a sequel, so I hope Ms. Brashares ...more
