I wanted to read this book for a long time, and I was finally able to check it out from the library. I thought it was good, but maybe not as good as I had expected. I don't think anything in it made me laugh out loud. However, this book did show me that in comparison to Augusten's childhood, mine was very normal and very happy...and very clean.

An incredibly hilarious, morbidly twisted memoir that will hook you in despite the grotesquely absurdities the author had to face and go through while growing up with bizarre and dysfunctional people. A truly riveting read. Highly recommended. :)
This book was really gross. I just didn't want to know. Everyone pees themselves about the movie, but I just can't believe visuals could do anything but make it worse, no matter how "amazing" Annette Bening is.
