I really enjoyed this book.
I really enjoyed this magical realism book, where the story is gradually told to us in the second person, where we discover the truth of Maali's death just as he does.
I loved the complexity of Maali's life. I love the gradual reveals, and how others knew certain things about his life. Such as the gambling.
I wish I knew more about the conflicts in Sri Lanka. Maybe I need a reading list before this book, just to give myself some more context. ...more
