Cool concept and world. I really enjoyed the Arab mythology and how the world was centred around the Silk Road and Mesopotamia. I didn't love the relationship between Nahri and Dara - it came out of nowhere when she considered herself a kidnap victim. It was more believable later in the book, but it seemed rushed to get there. I also felt that the middle of the book (after they reached Daevabad) to really drag on. Not much really happened except for world building.
