3.5 stars rounded up. Loved the world's premise and the characters have so much potential but this completely unnecessarily relies on YA tropes and needed further character development and world explanation to feel fully realised.

The world was cool to read about but godddd the protags inner monologue was so annoying and forced i felt like if I had to read one more sentence about how this guys movie star smile I am going to shove my head thru a wall. yeah, poor character development/ dialogue was so cringey, story and world was cool.,
