I thought I would like this. The premise appealed to me; however, it was just too long and too preachy. One of my good friends recommended this book. She gave the audio book at least 6 months ago and then kept nagging me that I would love it. I finally gave in and started it and she was absolutely right. I do love it. I love the discussions about food going from ground to table and the work involved.

Started reading this afternoon and can't put it down. This book makes me immediately want to clean out my pantry, bake several loaves of bread, and head to the local farmer's market! Will definitely be a life-changer for me. ...more
