I really wanted to like this book. The premise sounded so intriguing, but I really disliked this story.
This book was nothing more than a pathetic love story between two moody teenagers, one of them being a vampire. Bella's character was pathetic. She falls so desperately in love with Edward (in about five minutes) that the fact that he is a vampire doesn't give her even ONE SECOND of doubt that MAYBE they shouldn't date? This was a different novel than I would normally pick up. I am apart of a book club that chose it for this months selection. I thought it was good and a different take on what you would think a normal vampire book would involve. It is a sweet love story between a human and a vampire. I really enjoyed this book. Stephenie has an amazing way to describe being in love. The story hooked me immediately and I became attached to the characters quickly as well. I'm looking forward to reading the rest in the series.

This was a fun summer read and I've become fascinated with the entire series. It's not just a "vampire romance" and has some great literary content if you feel like diving into it all!

I love YA literature. Stephenie Meyer does a good job of fleshing out her characters. You can feel Edward's angst... I love it.

OK, I had my doubts - but once I started reading I couldn't stop. Read the book in a day and a half. Loved it!
