I loved the idea of the things in the forest - the drawings coming alive and having to fight them. These 2 boys were sweet and I liked the closeness and their hot and cold interactions.

This book brilliantly combined horror, mystery, romance, fantasy and dark academia with some gorgeous illustrations and very good writing.

It was a very very visual read in that the scenes literally played out in my mind as they happened in the book.

The vulnerability of the main characters was brought out very nicely and given the themes it explores, it was a lot more emotional than I expected and that was a great thing.

I read it in a single day and really enjoyed it.
