I am so impressed with the books I have read lately that take on the weight of adolescent mental illness. I have battled with depression and anxiety, so although I don't have a true understanding of what it's like to have OCD, I can relate to some of the experiences in this book. Toten captures the inner battles so well, and nothing in the book stigmatizes or belittles mental illness. And the way Adam starts to realize that he's taking care of everyone but himself? I really appreciated the wonderfully real life characters in this book. I felt so close to them. I too have a bit of OCD and while it's not to their degree it can be difficult to deal with at times. This is definitely a can't miss read!
