I was reluctant to read this despite positive reviews and a recommendation from my sister - I was worried it would be yet another sappy teen love story. It turned out to be quite cute! There were sappy moments, but there was also a lot of truthful representation of teen love and trying to find yourself. Ultimately, there were a lot of predictable plot "twists," but I can definitely see why this book has mass appeal. It'll be a good one for RA.

I suspect that
Everything, Everything
is meant to open one's eyes about the importance of living a full and meaningful life. There are hints of it...but, not really. It was a fast and entertaining read. A little superficial. I personally think it would've packed more punch if it ended differently. Teens/YA readers don't need everything resolved at the end of the book.

A reread for me. I like this book. Maddy was supposedly allergic to anything outside of her sterile home environment. Her mom even went to the expense (with settlement money) of making one room sterile, but just as if Maddy were in the out-of-doors with a stream, wicker furniture, trees & fake fish in the water. Her diet was controlled by her mom , schooling was by Skype (in person on occasion if teacher had been decontaminated), & she never left her home. Then Olly moves in next door. I would h
