Third read: I have read this book three times, and I STILL stay up irresponsibly late reading it. It is so cozy and warm, and I love to wrap myself up in the story.
First read: AHHHH THIS WAS SO GOOD. I love anything where Dolly Parton is the spiritual inspiration. Add in that I'm pretty sure Willowdean is me at 16, and this was definitely going to be a sure-fire win for me. I love the love interest, I love the family stuff, I love the best friend stuff. I loved this book. This is for every girl who doesn't feel comfortable in her own skin and doubts herself. I wish I had learned what these girls learned in high school rather than college, but I think every girl needs a dose of Willowdean-sized boldness.

I really enjoyed it, especially all of Willowdean's thoughts on bodies and how she could hold differing views at once - it's really true to life.
