I liked the premise of the book - there is a mysterious virus or something that causes kids, when they hit adolescence, to either die or develop psychic powers. Its a great twist on the angst and change of adolescence. But I'm a third of the way through the book and so many things are unexplained and unclear and referred to obliquely that its moving beyond confusing and into irritating. Great audio, good writing, but not much seemed to happen in the nearly 14 hours I listened. Full review to come.

An intriguing premise, and I really like the side characters, but I thought the pacing/structure needed work.
