A sobering reminder of the devastation caused by hurricane Katrina. My heart hurts from Reading this but I'm glad it exists. Everyone should know what happened and never forget.

While watching news reports about Hurricane Katrina is still a vivid memory for me, over ten years have past and most of my teen patrons were probably too young to remember much of the event. This graphic novel is an excellent introduction to Hurricane Katrina. The drawings and words work well together to paint a grim but fair depiction of the catastrophe. In addition, the book includes several pages of source notes and bibliography.

Although it didn't follow any specific person, it felt similar to the March graphic novels. Definitely a great book to recommend to anyone who is reluctant to read nonfiction (like me!).
