SO CUTE. I really enjoyed this story about the rivalry between Science Club and Art Club. The art is adorable, and I love how different all the characters are. It's pretty great. ...more

What a completely sweet and adorable book! I almost wish I could go back and redo middle school, but only if it were Berrybrook and only if Peppi, Jaime, and everyone else were there. I'm going to recommend Awkward to everyone I know.

Very cute story. Represented tween awkwardness so well. The conflicts between the art & science clubs was real. The characters & situations were believable. Something is happening this year with the GN choices. Either I am liking them better over the years or the choices are getting better. I still think manga is dreadful tho.

Okay, so this book is adorable. It totally captures that feeling of knowing you did something wrong and knowing what you need to do about it but not being able to get over the embarrassment enough to follow through. Plus all of the artwork is delightful.
