Amy!
This was really touching and poignant, and I really enjoyed all the characters. The first half almost reads like a regular romance, which I was really enjoying! And then the Leteo procedure takes more of a prominent role, and things get REALLY interesting. I look forward to reading more from Silvera.

Ok... so if I had of rated this book in the first 100 pages it probably would have been a 2 or a 3 but there is a point where this book takes a turn and you begrudgingly realize that the first part had to happen to really for it really to sink in the gravity of what had happened.

This book has a sort of beauty in its sadness. Sometimes in life we don't get our happy ending and its important to remember that its ok to be more happy than not and to keep going even when life keeps knocking you down

More Happy Than Not is not a happy book. However it is a great read. It's very thought provoking and the last part is a roller coaster. I couldn't put it down. It was only 2 am at night when I finished it, :P
This book doesn't exactly have a happy ending. It has a coming to an understanding ending.

My disappointment in this book is that I'm not sure how accurately it portrays a teen trying to figure out his sexuality. As a hetero woman, I don't have personal experience. I've heard complaints, though, that books aren't portraying the full spectrum of sexuality. This seems especially true in cases like this book, where the line between being straight and gay is drawn very clearly. I wish that there were more depth/character development in that sense.
Otherwise, it's an interesting concept, an

It was okay, but the memory readjustment (Leteo procedure) was really not believable. Aaron's realization that he was gay was real enough & dangerous for him in that neighborhood. Nicknames were pointless/annoying and phrases (especially 'no homo') were distracting. Not my favorite. ...more

I recently saw the author speak at a librarians' conference on a panel about the need for more diversity in children's and YA books. I liked much of what he had to say and was excited to read his book. It did not disappoint. ...more

I had a hard time getting into this book but once I got about halfway through, I suddenly understood all the hype and really got into it. So sad but in a really good way.
