A gritty pageturner about six people who are kidnapped and trapped in a bunker. Existential, with dark undertones about God, man playing God, and whether life has meaning. Deftly executed writing. I'll be sure to read more books by Kevin Brooks.

The writing is really engaging and the story compelling. The ending is just not for me; there's something to be said for open-ended, but this was TOO open ended.
