What Members Thought
Like Audubon's paintings, which I find awe-inspiring, this concise, informative biography made me want to go walk in the woods and watch birds and other wildlife. I hadn't realized he shot and killed all the birds and animals he drew, so he could draw them "from life" (er, death). A little gem of a book.

Quick read - finished in about 2.5 hours. Really interesting historical perspective on early American life, wildlife and art. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Good introduction to Audubon's life and legacy, placed in context, with some great examples of his work.
