This modernization of Pride and Prejudice tackled several topics that would likely seem extremely foreign to Jane Austen. I don't think she is rolling in her grave, but I wouldn't be surprised if some Austen aficionados take issue with some of Sittenfeld's plot choices since some seemed to be added for shock value.
