A bit of a let down compared to the first book - things did not really pick up until about 2/3 through the book. Still a good story - Penryn's an amazing character and the dystopian feel to this is amazing - but this sequel lacked some of the finesse that the first book had. But the last third was really good, hence the 4 star rating and urge to continue on with the next one right aw ...more

So I tried to pace myself with this book but well things have gotten more sinister in World After and unfortunately poor Paige gets kidnapped again but we're introduced to Burnt the new antagonist but I tell you what one thing I wasn't expecting was Paige fighting back near the end and oh boy does Burnt die spectacularly! I did enjoy how he died and well he had it coming.
