I found the writing for this very strange. I already knew Mafi's writing was different from the Shatter Me trilogy but this book took it to a whole new level. I did get used to it and started to enjoy it after a while. I felt the book needed it's on glossary of worlds and terms, there was so much going on at once. I enjoyed the quirks and the play on words and phrases. Overall a good stand alone book. ...more

I absolutely adored the whimsicalness and strangeness of this book. It was a perfect balance of actively making the choice to suspend your disbelief and wanting to believe everything you were reading. A perfect main course with a healthy side-dish of fantastic friendships on the side.
