I'm giving this three stars because the writing is strong enough to warrant it, but swashbuckling pirate stories must not be my thing. I wasn't keen on this second kidnapping Charlisse underwent plus other things, but don't let that deter you. If you like this sort of book and would like to try it with a Christian twist, this is the second book; read no more if you want no spoilers (but they are romance as well, so not too much of one here.)
