I enjoyed this one as much as the first one if not more. Another one is waiting for me at the library. I have to read all of these.

This is the most recent book in the Phryne Fisher mystery series. These books are very enjoyable to read or listen to. Mostly I listen to them. The plots are very predictable, but the characters are lovable. Besides, sometimes it’s good to have a book that’s guaranteed to have a happy ending.

Very descriptive- adored the dogs- with lots of yummy food and dress [must try the recipe for 'impossible pie']. Engaging if sometimes silly with a few loose ends that I couldn't quite follow. Not the best of the Phryne books but it was pleasant to read about the Australian summer seaside in the mids ...more
