I very much enjoyed a number of aspects of this feel-good book, particularly the stories of the four girls/women who put their wishes into the blue bottle in 1929. Brendan wasn't as impressive of a character for me, and I thought a few things contrived, but I'd read another book by Stokes, especially if it was written later on in her writing career and with a different sort of story.
