so, i have noticed i either seem to really like or feel meh about most of this author's work. i have read a majority of her books and one of the only reasons i have put off reading a couple of them is because i have heard so many mixed reviews from others so those are just kind of hanging out in my never-ending to be read pile. this book was definitely much better than some of her others. i did kind of have a few things figured out way before the main character did, which surprised me that it to ...more

I love Ruth Ware, even though her stories are predictable, yet thrilling and entertaining. This one is of a wife coming home to her husband dead. The police think she did it, so she goes on the run to find the real killer. I definitely recommend this read. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley.

A fast paced page turner. Ware does a great job of making us feel the anxiety and desperation of the main character. There are no big twists or reveals in this one but it is enjoyable journeying along with Jack to nail the culprit.
