I have been galloping through the Sharpe adventures. I am enjoying this series so much because it's a part of history I am very unfamiliar with. Each book brings a new conflict from the Peninsula War.

Book 13 for me, and I am finding the books I have read this year get continually more descriptive and violent. This is not a problem for me; I suppose it is a warning to some who do not enjoy the storytelling of war, as it truly is. Cornwell holds nothing back in this battle of Badajoz, known as on
