Before this book, the only thing I knew about Morocco was the comedian, Gad Elmaleh and his Netflix special.
A House is Fez is a beautiful book about an Australian couple who fall in love with Morocco and decide to buy a house in Fez. However, they wanted the authentic Moroccan experience for their part-time home, not the touristy, insulated experience of a visitor. So, they purchase a house in an ancient and authentic area with the plans to renovate and preserve a 300-year-old home.
