Ugh. Heroine literally groomed herself to be Hero's wifey. I absolutely 💯 hated her. Her goal in life was to be a ranchers wife, specifically Blake's wife. She took classes in college to better assist her ranch wife goals. Agricultural classes, animal husbandry classes, topless pole dancing instructions (you know to keep her ranching husband interested), whatever classes that helped her to be able to cook and clean up after 9 or more people....I have no idea what else but and I actually mean BUT Ugh. Why not take it to another level and have her a new ranch owner and him helping her make her ranch a success?

So beyond that I hated the many instances where the "Boys" forced themselves upon the heroine. Having twin boys literally tie up a teenage girl and making her kiss them is not sexy nor funny nor is it interesting to know that yet another of the brothers got so mad at her once he forced a steamy kiss on her rather than beat her.

I also could not get my mind focused on not mentally screaming "WHAT'S WITH HER NAME?" Jaxi. Went by Jax as a kid but then by Jaxi as a teenager. Why? Where did she get it? It's a weird name how did it come to be? No effing clue. The short story after the ending helped. Well not really. The inclusion of the story where 17 year old Blake met Jaxi, aged 7, for the first time was super alarming. (view spoiler) Can you say stranger danger? At least we found out her name is really Jackson. That helped. NO IT DIDN'T! Jackson? For a beautiful little girl with zero explanation? I'm all for gender neutral names but when assigning your female child a strongly masculine name a little explanation is helpful.

Ok I'm done.... wait you may be wondering why 2 stars and not one. It's because the brother Travis has a secret and also he's being abused and I need to know what and who. This part of the story was the only compelling part. Jaxi knows his secret but wouldn't tell. I need to know. ...more

Sooo... the book fits a couple of challenges and here I am...

Jaxi has always known Blake is the one but with the 10-years age gap between them, she wonders if he's ever going to see her as a woman. She's 21 now and she's putting her battle plan into action.

Ever since Blake noticed that Jaxi is no longer the little girl who trailed him around the ranch, he's been avoiding being in a situation where it's just the two of them. He's too old for her & she deserves someone younger, someone in her age ...more

6 gorgeous brothers...a ranch... lots of "fun" and drama.
I didn't like the way Matt&Ellen bits were inserted throughout Blake&Jax story.
It was annoying and confusing.
Even so...I enjoyed most of the book so it's a 3 stars read for me.
Favorite part?
The bonus chapter with Blake and Jax's first interaction...Jax was adorable^.^ ...more
