While I found some part of the book interesting, other parts felt like they dragged on forever. It was somewhat informative with regards to sociopathy and how that differs from psychopathy but the majority of the book revolved around her and her husband's love story. She's led a very privileged life, and that is on full display throughout the book.

This is an interesting memoir. It is by a self-diagnosed sociopath who, to better understand herself, also obtained a PhD in clinical psychology. Through her own life story, she aims to correct the perception of sociopaths (not exclusive murders or bad people) and also advocate for better understanding, identifying, and treatment for sociopaths.
Gagne's philosophy on sociopaths is interesting and, to my untrained ear, makes sense. Sociopaths are people born with an emotional disability/stunting. ...more
