I needed a break from the NF I'm trying to finish, and picked up this short read as I love Christmas set fiction and especially during July and August when it is hazy, hot and humid in NYC. It was really quite enjoyable, far better than most retellings of A Christmas Carol. This one is set in LA, 'Scrooge' is Carole, a lesbian editor of the 3rd most popular fashion magazine in the US. She's to put it bluntly, a mean-spirited total bitch. As usual, Christmas Ghosts Past, Present, and Future help
