What Members Thought
This book is really hard to rate.
Some sections were clearly 5 star (the descriptions of Waris' family life) while others were more like 1 star (the first chapter which was passive aggressive and way too religious cray cray).
Worth bearing with the awful parts as there are some sections which are gems.
That one woman should go through so much had me in tears at times, but there were also happy tears. FGM was described in great detail and while I was aware of it I hadn't really processed how awful ...more
