This timeless classic is one of my favorites to read and to discuss. George and Lennie are itinerant workers who stand out because they travel together as partners instead of existing in isolation. At first glance, it seems that mentally disabled Lennie is completely reliant on George, his caretaker and friend, but it soon becomes apparent that George relies on Lennie in return.
