What Members Thought
A crushing disappointment. After two excellent novels, I figured this author’s earlier writing lapses were behind him. Not so. What should’ve been a slam-dunk story of swashbuckling adventure was a dreary slog through pages and pages of unnecessary descriptive prose and dungeon traps that weren’t nearly as clever as they should’ve been. I was bored despite the lead character being one I enjoyed in Silver Shard.
