I would’ve liked this to be longer. It was compelling enough, with an eerie vibe, but tasked, as the author was, of introducing a new faction to the realms, it could’ve gone deeper: the bones of a very good novel are present but as a slim novella it still works, just slightly less satisfying due to the potential.
