What Members Thought
This book was loaded with elements that usually turn me off: a womanizing major character, lots of philosophizing, dream sequences, fairly graphic sex scenes, perspective that jumps around in time and narrator, and worst of all dog death. But somehow it all worked beautifully and I can totally see myself rereading it, even the final dog chapter. I will certainly never see bowler hats the same way again.
