Unfortunately (and I hate doing this!), this 3 star rating is for me and not the book...I know that with Pynchon, you get out of it what you put into it, and I didn't put in nearly enough! I knew I had 3 months off of work, and I thought I'd love to fit this one in since I'd have so much time to read carefully and think. NOPE! Turns out I wanted to NOT think when I wasn't working. O well.
