This book left a deep impression on me, especially some time after I was done reading it.

I loved the description of the rough moors, the small countryside community, long walks, visits and afternoon tea. Three very different characters are brought together: the passionate, foolish Gilbert, the virtuous and dutiful Helen and the psychopath Arthur.
