Maud is one amazing woman. Wonder Woman wishes she was as tough. Maud, the Innkeeper's sister, was dumped on a planet that is used as a home for the unwanted, unwashed and vicious of the universe. 2nd read - I still enjoyed this the second time around. It was great to be immersed in the story and not have to wait for the next bit to come out - even though that anticipation is part of what made the serial fun.
1st read-The serial is finally complete! Maud was so awesome and Helen so fiercely cute. I am looking forward to the audio and to the next book - the last sentence makes it clear that there's more to come:) ...more

WOW! I loved this so much!! What a fantastic addition to the series! Book 5! Book 5! Y'all can't write fast enough. Rated PG13 for some language and plenty of bloody fighting and killing.

Why!!!! Why end there?! That is just mean! Now I need more. I might actually have to read the next part as the serial instead of waiting for publication.
Overall I enjoyed this book. But Maud is not Dina and I found that I missed the Inns and their magic in this one. That being said, vampire politics are as entertaining as they can be confusing. Maud manages to stand her own as a human surrounded by vampires. She is a badass fighter who's daughter comes first and you just have to respect that. I ...more
