3.5 stars - An original concept and well written, but the universe and it’s characters just didn’t speak to me

This is the first book in Rachel Caine’s Weather Warden series.

I struggled with this book stopping and starting after just a chapter for quite a while and in the end only listened to the audiobook to fulfil a challenge. Actually 3.5 stars.....not really sure yet what I think of this one....it started out a bit slow, then picked up..lots of stuff going on but there was not a lot of explanation about the djinn. I will probably read the second one before I decide if I am going to continue. All in all it was a decent audio book.

I read these books when they were first released. I remember really liking the storyline then. I do now also but am just not that invested in Joanne at this time..I'll come back to the series but am going to read something else next. ...more
