I can't believe I hadn't read a Mercy book since 2017. Wow have I missed this world. So well done and interesting to see what things look like on the European side. We learnt so much more about the Vampires and why Marsilia, Stephan and Wulfe came to the New World. Also being in the Old World allowed us to meet a slew of new characters many of whom were rather fascinating.

Silence Fallen was longer than previous Mercy Thompson adventures-but I think that is just because Patricia Briggs had a bigger story to tell. I enjoyed seeing Mercy and Adam operate independently of each other, and dumping Mercy in Europe with no cash no resources and no understanding of the language made this a great fish out of water story.
