Separated but never separate. Mercy and Adam, win the Best Couple award. He listens to her, he trusts her, unwaveringly, she is the same way back at him. It is a beautiful thing.

Review from first read March 2017 (in audio)I enjoyed this. I did initially have a bit of trouble adapting to the readers, Lorelei king reads another series that i follow and I kept hearing that other character instead of Mercy for the first few chapters and the switches back to mercy from the Adam reader were jarring initially. But once I got caught up in the story it was no longer an issue- I do like the chaos that mercy leaves in her wake.

Not my favorite of the series, but I love all things Mercy Thompson! As I expected, I read it in a day, so checked out of my real life, start to finish. In and around all the normal activities of my day, Mercy and Adam kept me coming back for more.
