This was beautifully written. It evoked so much emotion and memory. I mentioned sad , it made me sad because in this day and age we have lost something, an innocence...magic...but something deeper I just can't quite find the word. I hope ...more

Decent story but the slow pacing dropped it down a star in my rating.

I read this in 2017 and again today for my Grim Readers library book club. I enjoyed this incredible story even more this time. The writing is lyrical, poetic and hypnotic. At first it was kind of distracting but as I got more into the story, it was just amazing. Terrific ending!

What a strange little book. I am a big fan of Ray Bradbury and collect his books but parts of this book were really slow for me. I still enjoyed it though. Now I want to watch the movie since I somehow missed ever seeing it.
