This book. Wow. I’ve loved Cassies books for a long while, with TID as my favourite series. This one is just as amazing, I’ve cried, screamed and laughed with this book and I honestly think TDA CAN surpass TID as my favourite Shadowhunter series.

I seriously LOVE all of these shadowhunter books. I didn't read the description so I didn't know that this one takes place after TMI and has Jace and Clary as side characters until I started reading. I'm glad it takes place in this time period because I've recently read the other series that took place in the past so it was fresh to go back to modern times and see where are they all now after the dark war. Cassandra Clare back at it again. I love how she incorporated real literature into this entire book so subtly you don't notice until the end.
